Gregg Goldman Therapy

Dedicated to Your Healing and Personal Transformation

Greg Goldman, AMFT, APCC, is a psychotherapist specializing in treating middle school, high school, and college students, and young adults who are battling anxiety, depression, OCD, mood disorders, eating disorders, and grief and loss.

Goldman’s journey with mental health began in 1992 as a psychology student at the University of Pennsylvania studying under the pioneer of positive psychology, Dr. Martin Seligman. He received his BA in Psychology and English literature and his Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. Goldman trained with Family Services Agency of Burbank, focusing on middle school and high school students. Goldman worked at Dolores Huerta Middle School and John Burroughs High School as an on-site therapist before going into private practice.

As the father of a 19-year-old daughter and a 15-year-old son, he knows firsthand how challenging it is to be a parent right now. He also knows how challenging it is to be a teenager or young adult in these trying times.
Goldman incorporates groundbreaking tools from CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, and Positive Psychology to create a customized plan of action and help the client become the best version of themselves.

EXPERTISE

It has never been a more trying time to develop cognitively, emotionally, and socially from adolescence into adulthood.

Fortunately, there has also never been more evidence-based modalities to help individuals live their best lives and become the happiest, healthiest, and most successful version of themselves. Through his experience working with students and young adults, Goldman has devised a practical and accessible goal-oriented program using the following modalities:

CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) focusses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) uses mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills to build a more fulfilling life.

Narrative Therapy helps individuals reshape their personal stories to promote healing and growth and take control of their own lives.

Positive Psychology focusses on enhancing well-being, happiness, and human flourishing rather than just diving into problem areas.
